Graduation Requirements

Graduation from the Grants-Cibola County Schools signifies that students have satisfactorily completed an established course of study, have passed any required examinations and have met all requirements established by the faculty, the Board of Education, and the State of New Mexico before graduation day. GCCS District requirements exceed New Mexico minimums.

Class of 2014 and Beyond

English 4 Credits

Mathematics (1 Alg. II or higher) 4 Credits

Science 3 Credits (2 credits in lab science)

Social Studies 4 Credits

Health/Drivers Education .5/.5 Credit

Physical Education* 1 Credit

Career Cluster, workplace readiness, or language other than English** 1 Credit

Electives 8 Credits

* PE, Marching Band, and ROTC can be used to fulfill the PE requirement.

**Students shall earn at least one credit as an advanced placement (AP), honors, or Dual Credit.
