GRANTS - The No.3 seed Grants Pirates will be at home on Tuesday, February 27, as they take on the No.4 seed Belen Eagles in a rivalry District Tournament game.
The Pirates are 16-10 on the season and also 4-4 in District play heading into their first District tournament of the postseason.
The Pirates are already 2-0 against the Eagles this season, having already defeated the Eagles two times - 81-62 at home, and 79-74 on the road. The latter game (on Feb. 20) was the Pirates’ last contest,
The Eagles are 9-17 on the season overall and they had a 2-6 record in District play. On Friday, February 23, the Eagles posted a huge win over the No.5 seed Valencia Jaguars to earn the right to play this game against the Pirates.
The game is set for Tonight (Tuesday, February 27) with the winner advancing to the second round of the District Tournament. Stay tuned for more from the GHS boys basketball team.
