Grants, NM, February 13, 2024. Knight Long, a 5' 6" SR, CB in the 2024 Class from Grants High School, has committed to play college football at New Mexico Highlands University.
Head Coach Steve Brown, had this to say about Long's recruitment to New Mexico Highlands University, "I'm super excited for Knight and our program! This is huge for us! I'm hoping that our younger and any other athletes in our program see this and realize that with hard work and dedication to team, that they have an opportunity to continue their education and playing the game they love after high school! Knight worked hard throughout his High School Career and now gets to reap the benefits. However, the real work starts now for him as he will be a member of an extremely competitive program at NMHU. I want to personally thank Coach Ron Hudson and all of the coaching staff at New Mexico Highlands University for looking our way and giving our kids a chance to follow their dreams! I expect big things from Knight in college both on and off the field and can't wait to see what he does out there. He's is now and will be a Pirate for Life but now he gets to add Cowboy to that list!".
